Tang Soo Do Test

Kelsie and Rob tested this week for the second stripe on their green belts (sorry - don't know the technical term for the level).

The adults tested first. I didn't know Rob was actually able to jump off the ground that high!! He broke the board on his first try!

The children tested after the adults. It took Kelsie a few tries, but she ended up breaking the board!

We will find out next week if they passed their tests.

PTI Card Challenge

Well I did something today I have never done before. I entered a card sketch challenge. I just couldn't resist! Nicole Heady and Papertrey Ink (PTI) are having their 2 year anniversary. If you are unfamiliar with Papertrey Ink, it is a company which has the most awesome stamps, paper, and ribbon. The contest is on Nicole's blog, Capture the Moment.

This is my entry for the Day 7 contest.

Superbowl Sunday!

It's a big weekend in Pittburgh as the Steelers are playing in the Superbowl. I just had to post pictures of my 2 little Steelers fans. They spent Saturday at Aunt Doris' house having a pre-Superbowl party. They had a blast as always. Thanks Aunt Doris!

While the kids were having a big party, their Dad and I were taking down wallpaper- yuck!

Acrylic Tag Album

I finally found a use for all of the tiny pictures that come as part of packages when you have photos taken at JCPenney. I haven't had photos taked there in some time, but before the kids were in school, we had photos taken there a couple of times a year. At that time, A sheet included a strange combination of sizes - including some very tiny pictures for which I never found a good use.

Well this weekend, I purchased a small (3 x 4 1/2 inches) acrylic album, and I wasn't sure what to do with it. Then it occurred to me that I had piles of very tiny pictures that would be perfect. I also used some extra wallet sized pictures. The album turned out so well, that I ended up making two more as gifts.

The challenge was to make sure that whatever showed through looked nice from both sides. I am really happy with the results!
