Super Sketchy Sunday

Woo hoo! Yesterday was Super Sketchy Sunday at 365 Cards. It was also the start of Art Glitter Week! Here is the inspiration sketch:
And here is my submission:
In honor of Art Glitter week, I used sparkly paper, and I added sparkles to the flowers and the sentiment.

I used 3 different coordinating papers from DCWV Spring Glitter Stack - the colors were no bright and cheery.

And I love the sentiment - "Whatever!". Anyone who has a daughter has heard that countless times!

Thanks for Looking!

Pink, Orange, and Green...

I have 2 challenges to share today. The challenge at Colour Create is to use pink, orange, and green. Challenge #42 at The Cuttlebug Spot is to use your favorite Cuttlebug Embossing folder.

Here is my card: I really like these colors together! So cheerful! I love ALL of the Cuttlebug folders, so it was hard to pick just one.

Anyway, I chose the Script Texture folder and used it on all of the circles. And then I tried to vary the button / string color on each circle.

Thanks for Looking!

Super Sketchy Sunday!

Yesterday was Super Sketchy Sunday over at 365 Cards! It is always one of my favorite challenges! Here is the sketch:
And here is my card:

I had all of these papers (K&Company) out for the Whimsy Challenge, which I posted here. And the colors were so pretty, I decided to just use the same papers for this challenge.

The rectangle for the sentiment is cut using a Nestabilities die set. I embossed the rose colored paper using the Cuttlebug Swirls folder.

I found those little flowers with the gems in a pack from Pat Catans - I can't remember the brand right now, but they were so cute, and they came with the little gems on them.

Thanks for Looking!

Whimsy Challenge

I found time last night to work on the Whimsy Challenge. However, it needs to be posted in the next 9 minutes! Nothing like waiting until the last minute!
Anyhoo - Here is the sketch for the Whimsy Challenge this Past week:

And here is my submission:

I found this paper in my stash, and I totally forgot I even had it! I embossed the 3 panels with a Cuttlebug folder and added some string at the top.

I am loving the colors on this card - so much so that I made another card last night, but it will have to be in a separate post!

2 minutes to go!

Thanks for Looking!

Pink Elephant Challenge

I found time to participate in the Pink Elephant Challenge this week. Here is the inspiration sketch:

And here is my card:

Not sure about this one. I liked all of the elements separately, but once they were together...

I embossed the band in the center with the Cuttlebug swirls folder. The butterfly is from the Slice machine. I crocheted the flower using embroidery floss. And the rectangle behind the butterfly is from a Nestabilities die (can't remember the name).

Anyway, Thanks for Looking!
